double seal on the output shaft
For improved sealing of the gear unit in critical applications
Execution (according to available space)
- a combination seal, each with a NBR and FKM (Viton) sealing lip or
- two sealing rings in NBR and FKM execution
Advantages:
- Optimal sealing properties at high operating temperatures by FKM seal
- Good sealing properties at low temperatures by NBR seal
- Better protection at high pollution by two seals (the outer seal is in addition executed with dust lip)
- Increased security and better stability against oil leaks through additional sealing lip
The double sealing is recommended:
- in critical mounting positions and continuous operation
- at high demands on the sealing reliability
Inner centering
- For the gear units of the series F, S, and K with housing design B or D, the seals on the output shaft can be displaced in the direction inside of the gear unit.
This creates a centering that can be used by the customer to connect own flange designs. - possible for gear units F2..F8, K2..K9, S1..S4
- not possible for gear units K0, K1, S0 or with double seal on the output shaft
